Drywall to block is one way to cover the wall. Stucco is another, plaster,clay, stone tile,rock, paneling etc. Drywall can be fastened, several ways, drywall mud on the back and press it into the wall (like tile, butter the back), screws, into the block orinto backing or???

You can also combine, drywall here, stucco there, plaster here, stone there.
